Korean electronics companies claim they are developing a new wearable device, but that's not entirely a smartwatch.

With the Samsung Gear S3 released in the past few months, many have been waiting for news of the next Korean company's success in the smartwatch business. Unfortunately, until now we have not had any details on the S4 Gear but PhoneArena has some information on a new wearable device that Samsung is developing.

Samsung has emailed some members of SmartLab Plus to ask them to share the idea of a new wearable device that can be launched soon.

The new wearable device is not a smartwatch, but it is not an exercise device. In addition, the product is said to provide "maximum comfort with a slimmer and thinner watch, and allow users to personalize their watch as they see fit."

From Samsung's description, this is like a wearable device that incorporates the key elements of a smartwatch and an exercise bracelet. It will bring "total health to everyone" as well as "waterproof cases such as swimming."

In addition, the device should feature active tracking, weight and calorie management, active sports, as well as training. Samsung says the product will run its own user interface, allowing customers to take advantage of improved widgets with "observable information."

Samsung's new device could be the interference between Gear Fit and Gear smartwatch. However, we can not be sure until Samsung officially introduces it.
